Camping!!

This weekend we went on our first camping trip of the year!!! Last Friday my brother sister and I came home from school and waited for my mom and dad to get home. That morning we had everything done and ready so we could just get home and go because we have a seasonal site at Arlington Beach on Long Lake. When my mom got home she brought three cups of candy and we got to bring them in the truck. You can just imagine how that went!!! The best part was that there was basically just us at the lake. Just kidding that would be creepy but it wasn't busy!!

The Art Gallery

I love art! Yesterday May 6th my class 5-6 O/O went to the Moose Jaw Art Museum. We went to find out about and see some clay work. Our tour guide was named Kristy.
Our first stop in the gallery was an exhibit of Neil McLeod work. Neil is First Nation so his paintings have warm colours and many Faces. He has some faces in them that almost look scary, with giant white teeth and red, yellow, and orange eyes. He also has a few words and even a poetic sentence.one of the few words is written in Cree. Most of my class said it was like graffiti.
The next exhibit was all Allen Harding McKay. The exhibit was braced on planes going Afghanistan. He himself was in Afghanistan, but not fighting. He was asked to come to see all of it and take a look. When he was there he took a video. When he got back he took still pictures of the video, put the on the computer, made them loom like drawings, and then coloured them.
After Allen's exhibit we went to the pottery exhibit. All of the pottery was made be the wood kiln work of Saskatchewan. Some of them were from 1920. There were ones made by hand and ones made by a spinner.
In the activity room we got to make boxes out of clay slabs. Mine had a butterfly on the lid and the bottom and had leafs on the sides.

Earth day

Today is earth day!!!! At school some classes are going outside and picking up garbage my class is cleaning the benches in the yard. Here are some things that you can do to help the Earth. 1. Don't litter and recycle. 2. Drink juice from a container and not a juice box. 3. If you see garbage on the ground pick it up and throw it away. 4. Have a shower not a bath. 5. When washing dishes fill the sink don't keep the water running. 6. Don't leave the water running when you brush your teeth. 7. Plant a tree!!! 8. Last but not least walk if you can don't drive!!!

My CRAZY Friends!!!

At school my friends are so CRAZY (hence the tittle!!!)!! Their names are Lauran (shes like my sister!), Alexis (so is she!), Maddie (She is also!), and Ceanna (like wise!). Alexis is slightly weird, but that's why we love her (Oh she wants me to say that she is a Hello Kitty fan!! She is also sweet). Maddie is hug-a-bull and fun loving! Lauran and I have an inside inside joke going about pickles and ice!! Long storey!! But she's awesome!! Ceanna is anti-shopping country girl with a big heart!! All of my friend are like my little personal diaries!! I love them all equally and wish I could take them home with me every day!!!!

Uncoordinated klutzes Don't Like Ice!!!

U.C.D.L.I!!!! That stands for Uncoordinated Klutzes don't Like Ice!!! With me ice is like water to a cat, tuna to a dog, sun to a rat!!! Of course this is mostly because I am an uncoordinated klutz and when I go on ice I am most likely to slip and fall on my tush!!! When and if I actually do go on ice I have a friend on either side of me so if I do slip I will be caught!!! This is not helped by the school yard because it is covered in ice!!! I am surprised that I haven't broke my neck yet!!!

Twilight!!!

Last night I watched Twilight. The movie was AWESOME... but now I'm hooked!!!! I havent yet read the first book, Twilight, but I'm skipping it because I don't like reading a book that I already know whats going to happen.
I started to read new moon this moorning and I'm only on like the 15th page, but I didn't want to put it down.
You know that scared but ceuriose feeling lots of people get when they whatch a mistery movie or just any scary movie... thats the feeling I get!
I used to make fun of my older sister, Jaicee, because she would read the books when we would eat supper, she would read the 400 page books in a night, she had the date that the movie came out on DVD memerized, heck, she read the seiries in a month... but now I shouln't talk because... I'm doing it too!!!!
Back to my storie. I started New Moon this morning, and my mom wouldn't let me bring it to school because it was too expensive and now I'm going crazy because I wan't to know what happens! You could say that "The suspense is killing me!!".

Podcasts

Today I learned what a podcast is. My understanding of a podcast is it is something that you've learned about. You take turns telling about this subject and sharing facts. You may put music behind it or you can just talk. The two I listened to were.... interesting, one was about democracy and one was about early European explorers. One of the things I could podcast about might be a school project that is about the Haida people.

Spring!

Spring! On Saturday it was 10 degrees above (Celsius) and I wore a T-shirt outside! We stayed outside and got all of our recycling all done and in bags and in the truck while wearing T-shirts!! I was so excited because my brother and I got to jump on the trampoline, yes in our T-shirts!! One of the main reasons that I was so happy was that it was still DAY LIGHT AT 7:00!! I was ecstatic ,as you can tell, and it isn't even spring until Friday!! I mean we even had our windows open, when you live in Saskatchewan you don't expect that till at least the middle of spring so this is ,like... awesome!! Too bad it's now Tuesday and it's cooled down a bit... But I'm still cheery because I got to wear a T-shirt outside!!

I'm a clutz!

I am such a clutz! Tuesday morning I got on the bus to go to school and guess what I did. I tripped up the stairs of the bus! What I truly did was trip on my backpack because when it doesn't have much in it it often falls off my shoulder. (It's one that is like a purse and you strap it around your shoulder.) Ya so I tripped on it and that made me trip up the stairs! I mean normal people trip down the stairs or don't even trip on the stairs, but yes I tripped UP the stairs!!! Good thing no older kids were on or I would be the laughing stalk of the year but thankfully only little kids were on and they were too busy making stupid noises and playing with barbies!! Now I two giant bruises on my shins where the steps hit!

Cool Hey!!! :)

Our last B-Ball game.

We went to our last basketball game on Monday March 2 and guess what.... we got creamed... and we're proud of it!!!!! Even though we got beat it was fun! I was dissapointed because I had to share a position and I only got to go on twice... but I was one of the main parts of the scream team from the bench!!!! The team we played was the Mortlack Mowhawks. We found it funny because I am one of the tallest kids on the team and they were taller than me!! At the end of the game the score was 18 us and 58 them... pretty scary... now you know what I mean about we got creamed!!!! On the way home there was only four players and the coach on the bus (the others got picked up). The entire way we cheered and screamed it was so fun!!!!!!!!!

Karaoke

"Our song" by Taylor Swift sounds like a good song doesn't it well that's what I sang! Well, actually Ceanna and I sang it! We prepared for weeks and finally the day comes! Maybe I should start at the beginning anyway... "We will be holding a karaoke contest at school" our principle announced over the intercom, "it will take place in the music room on February 27th." so automatically one of my best friends looks at me and I look at her we both have the idea! For the next month we are ecstatic and anxious for the day to come. Our friend Cortni entered on her own and we practiced together and insured each other we were awesome. Like I said the day finally comes and I am nervous. We got through the song perfectly fine and then they tell us that we can't see who wins until the end of the day. Keep your fingers crossed!!!!

After results: WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got a 5$ certificate for the canteen at school so that is good!!!!!!!

On Feb. 12th 2008 my school held a Valentines dance at 7:00 until 9:00pm!!!!! I wasn't gonna go to it but my friend Alexis and my other two friends Lauran and Ceanna, made me go! Truely I am glad I have such stuborn friends!!!! No offence guys!

Ceanna's mom and her gave me a ride to the dance and on the way we got stopped by the train and Ceanna started to have a hissy fit because she thaught we were gonna be late!

When we finnaly got there we started to dance to whatever the DJ played! For the fast songs the only thing that did was jump and shake our fist!! I wore big hoop earings and they kept bouncing and it really hurt so I took them out! On the slow songs I danced with only 3 guys! But frankley thats fine by me!!!! When I home my dad took Ceanna home with us and we were so played out we didn't talk the entire way my dad was surprised!!!

Recognition Lunch

     On February 12th there was a lunch for everyone on the  SLC (Student Leadership Council). The SLC is a bunch of student s who help or volunteer around the school e.g. people who work the canteen, SAVE club (Students Against Violence Everywhere), Spirit Committee, and so on and so forth!

      We went to the party slash lunch and we had pizza and ice-cream sandwiches. I brought a lunch because I forgot about it so I actually had two lunches! I sat at the table with Lauran, Alexis, Ceanna, Learra, and Kyah. The entire time we were there we told stories and laughed and basically just talked about any thing!!!!

5:00?!!!!!

On Friday I had my Birthday PARTY! Yah, I said it...... PPPPAAAARRRRTTTTTYYYY!!!!! It was awesome. When we first got there we went to my room and blaired my music, we played with Alexis' camera, and I made a mistake of giving them there candy bags and Lauran ate all of it in about three minutes!!!!!!!!! She was wired!!! Oh and Lauran brought Mike n' Ikes and Lexy stuffed about 16 in her mouth and then complained that it was chewy!!!!! After that we went downstaires and played Guitar Hero on Wii. Then we made Miis and we made them look like us. We played a singing game called Super Star and we told each other back and forth that we culd not sing and then we fight that they could sing and we couldn't. Lauran tryed to sing S.O.S. by the Jonas Brothers.... That was funny!!!!! After we went upstaires and ate supper, and then went to my room and did each others hair and makeup. I gave them a sucker with plastic lips on the end and my sister took pictures of us. After we opened my presents and I got a Webkinz from Ceanna, money from Lauran, and a T-shirt with a butterfly on it, with a necklace and perfume!!!

We watched Titanic and we all got scared when it was sinking. When that finished we watched Mama Mia even though it was abouth 1:00 in the morning!!!! Then I fell asleep at about 4:00 and they stayed awake. When I woke up it was mom saying it was time for Lauran to go home and that was when they told me they stayed up till 5:00 in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!

my B-day

For my birthday I got two outfits, and a make-up box full of make-up. I am having a family birthday party and a friend party. For my friend party I am having a few people, Alexis, Lauran, and Ceanna. It will be awesome and I hope it will be fun for everyone. The day of the party is also a spirit day at my school it's 80's day. In the goody bag there is a sucker and on the end of it is lips they look so cool and when you put the sucker in your mouth it makes you look like you have giant lips. For my birthday party we are probably going to end up having marshmallow, pop-corn, and pillow fights!!!!! I told them that we are going to have such a sugar rush that we wont remember anything!!!!!!!!!!!!

Babysitting

On Jan. 16. 2008 I went babysitting. My sister, Jaicee, and I used to go and babysit these girls together but since Jaicee was studying for finals at school she couldn't come. When I got there the youngest one Trista, came screaming my name in a high-pitched-five year old voice, "Caisia, Caisia" I thought it was so cute. The oldest Alexis was at dancing so her grandpa brought her home. So we had some pop and pop-corn and watched T.V. and then I gave them a bath and Alexis read a book for school and then I put them to bed. When they were in bed a heard a door open and because of instinct I looked around the corner to the girls' room to see if someone was coming out. There was no one there so I turned back to the T.V. I was watching an d I heard little footsteps and so I looked at the front door frightened and of course saw their cat that wasn't supposed to be in the house so I went and caught him and put him outside of course my heart was pounding.

Hoja!!!!

On Jan. 9th. 2008 an aucapella group came to my school. That was pretty cool.

In this picture one of the teachers came up and did a rap and all that he said was "can't touch this" like a rapper. Everyone bugged him and wanted to say it for them.

They sang a bunch of songs including one by "Hannah Montana" because the guy you see in the picture claimed that he had met her in Moose Jaw! In Walkamow Vally.
They sang a song by "Maroon 5" and one by another group I don't know the name of.

My first B-Ball game

Pre game comment:

I am on the B girls basketball game (No B does not stand for bad!). I am number 34 on the team and my position is... RIGHT POST. So anyway today (Jan. 12. 2008) is my first game. I am slightly scared because we have only had one practice and I am not entirely sure of where I am supposed to be on the court and what I am supposed to do. The other reason is because my BFF on the team is not going to be at the game... So... My mom is picking me and my older siblings up at school so they are happy we don't have to go on the bus. I hope my finger does not hurt while playing because I burnt it and it now is rapped in a bandage but that is slightly my fault and that's kind of another story (Go to 5/6 OO blog and go to Alexis's blog and find post "My Sleep over with Hunny"). So on with my story... I am excited for the game because I used to be the only grade 5 on the team but now there are 2 more some of my very dear friends Shannon and Jenna whom is my cousin. I am excited!

Post game comment:

I had so much fun at the game even though we lost 44-26 but it was still very fun! The floor was very slippery and two people on my team slipped and fell. I was soooo thursty all thru the game because I forgot my watter bottle in the car and my mom couldn't go and get it because all the doors were loked, for some weird reason!

Christmas.

For Christmas my entire family came home including my Auntie Shauna, Uncle David, 3 cousins, Abby, Cara, and Leah, Uncle Aaron, Auntie Daniela, and little nine month old baby boy cousin Louise!!! He is cute!!!! He's a big boy though, Leah is 2 years old and like I said, he is nine months old and he's only about 2 centimeters shorter than her.
On Christmas eve they all came out to my house with my bobba and poppa. We played a bunch of games and then we then we played my favorite game 'Hide the Pickle' of course we don't use a real pickle we have a tree ornament in the shape of one. Once they all left we went to bed, I slept downstairs like I always do with my brother and sister. My brother set his alarm clock for 6:30 and with that we fell asleep.
It was Christmas morning and my brother was shaking me screaming "WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!" I finally did and then we ventured off to wake up my sister once we woke her up we set off tho go get my mom and dad....................................................................................................................................
After opening presents at home we went to my bobba and poppa's were we opened more presents..... this is my favorite part of the day because me and my brother got a Wii and a bunch of games. Aside from the Wii my other favorite gift was an MP3 player.
