Christmas Consert

I tried out for one of the parts in the Christmas Concert at my school. Guess what I got one of the main parts!!!! My best friends Alexis, Ceanna, and Lauran all tried out with me. Eight people tried out and we all got a part. There are two grandpas, one is a girl and the other is a boy but girls act as guys all the time! There are two masters of ceramonys and one is my girl Alexis! There are four little eight-year-old girl and one is ME! The other ones are my friends Ceanna, Lauran, and Aleana! I can't wait for the day of the concert.

IT IS THE DAY OF THE CHRISTMAS CONCERT AND GUESS WHAT! I AM FREAKING OUT BUT I AM ALSO SLIGHTLY CALM.....BUT NOT REALY!

I'm only in the afternoon play so my mom has to get off work to come and watch it and my dad also has to stop working to come and watch it.

In the play for make-up we have to get freckles and blush but according to Lauran I don't need any freckles because I am a "Freckle Puss"! Even though I am nervous and freaking out I am SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO very excited!!!

Missoula

On November 24 2008 I tryed out for the Missoula Childrens Theater at school and I was ssssssssssooooooooooo happy because I got IN!!! The play is Robin Hood and I am a guard along with my friends Maddy, Mackenzie, Chelsey, and Aleana. There are three more guards and they are Devin, Devin and Keisha. I feal so sorry for the dierectors because in the entire play there are three Devins, three Ethans, a Caisia (Me!) and a Keisha! Pretty confusing hey! On Tuesday I had practice right from 3:45pm to 8:15pm it was fun and we got pot luck supper. By the way the play went swimmingly(I have random words!!!)

Parent Teacher Student Interviews

On Nov. 20, 2008 my family had P.S.T. Interviews (Parent Student Teacher Interviews).
I really don't like it but I was proud 'cause I got no bad comments and pretty good grades. The main reason I like them is because we get a day off school!
To start it was my brother's turn...I can't say the same for him! JUST KIDDING!!!!!!! He had two interviews one for each teacher!
Then it was off to mine! They were good and it didn't take so long so it was not bad! After my mom said " Well young lady.....Your grounded for the rest of your childhood days!" She wasn't done....."HHHAAA...YA right I am so proud of you!!" Then I was happy!

"Should I Bully?"

If you ever ask yourself "should I bully?" immediately answer "NO!" Because bullying bites! There are three types of bullying, one verbal, that means that you are swearing at someone, calling someone mean names, threatening someone, or simply putting someone down or hurting someones feelings.

Next is social, your are excluding someone, making someone an outcast, gossiping, or telling mean, rude, untrue rumors about someone.

Last but not least physical. That is when you destroy someones property, steal something, gang beat someone, or just beat them up.

It also said that Bullies repeat the assault, it is often on purpose. The bully often lashes out because of something at home or even in the school.

If you see someone being bullied in any of these ways don't stand by and watch do something. In another presentation it said that if you see bullying just SEE, SAY, WALK AWAY! That means you see it happening, you say something about it, and then you walk away.

If you are being bullied don't let them get away with it tell someone, tell the police(if its that bad) tell your parents, teacher, or just someone you trust.

Remembrance Day Ceremony

On November 6 our school had a Remembrance Day Ceremony and the choir was amassing. They sang beautifully. There was a very good speech called Eggs, Carrots, and Coffee. I know it sounds corny but it is actually a pretty meaningful speech. On the board at the front doors was pictures of all the students with their arms around each other. It was a symbol of peace.

Career Ed

November 6 2008 my class had a work shop that told us what occupation we might like and be good at. I was quite happy because my top one was an interior designer, first of all I would like to be one (my dream is to be a massage therapist but I would like this), and second of all it was the same as my the same as the one my idol had, my sister. I liked the game we played, it took a few words and made a courier (all of them were imaginary). She told us to put your forehead to the top of the computer and most people did it including me (if you tell anyone I will deny it because I admitted it to you). I got some weird occupation like sticky dust-bunny analyst. I got another one on my real occupation and it was a TV host.

Leaf Art

We (my class) had to do an art project that included leafs. I really like art so this project was good. It didn't take me too long but it did take me a few art periods.

Halloween Dance

On October 31 I went to my first school dance. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. "There were more snowball dances" were my brothers words. I actually danced with my brother I also danced with my friends brother who is also my brother's best friend. He said I was a new comer. I liked the dance it was fun. Hey, I also danced with some of my friends not just boys.

Don't laugh there were no better pictures and the light was bright!

Arthur Slade

On December 4 Arthur Slade came to our school and talked about the books he has wrote(he is an author). He has quite a few books, all interesting. My class is reading a book of his called Jolted. It's about a boy who's family is supposedly cursed, because all the starker family members have been stuck by lightning. His dad has a different last name. Red Sky Theater

On October 30 The Red Sky Theater came to my school and did a performance called "The Raven Steals The Sun" it is based on some aboriginal things. Some parts were funny and some parts were serious in a performance kind of way. It was kind of hard to see because people in front of us were sitting on there knees and kind of hard to hear in some parts because people around us were talking, but for the most part it was a good play. At the end I almost fell over because my foot was asleep. I liked the part when the daughter came out and was singing and she met the beautiful raven. At the end they took questions and it seamed to take a long time even though it was only a couple of minutes.

The Art Museum

On Wednesday Oct 29 my 5/6 00 class went to the Moose Jaw Art Museum. It was overly fun for me because I love art and portraits. The exhibit was on Beverly Tosh, she was painting War Brides (the bride or wife of someone who went to war). We got to see her in a movie and it was kind of sad because it talked about women who married a man who got sent to war and they had to travel a far was away to be with her husband. On the movie it showed actual war brides and it explained that her own mother was a war bride. After done in the exhibit we went to the gallery and we got to do our self portrait. I was glad because I got the exact colour if not close of my skin, hair, eyes, freckles, and surprisingly my lips.

Election

On October 14 my school held an annual election. The votes didn't count as anything but still it's kind of fun. In our school the Conservative won.

Ukuleles

I music class we are learning how to play the ukuleles. I like playing them but sometimes it hurts your fingers only when you hold a cord for a long time. We have learned a few songs but my favorite one we just learned yesterday it is a Holloween song and it's about an old woman who is only skin and bones.

Thanksgiving Dinner

On Friday October 10 2008 our school had a Thanksgiving Dinner. It was a good dinner and I got to eat with my friends Lauran and Mackenzie. I got to take pictures of all the people in the gym for the year book and when the year book teacher said thanks she called me Jaicee my sisters name. My dad asked my to get him a cookie and some iced tea and he had me tracking stuff all over the gym in high heals.

Hip Hop And Music

On Oct. 14 my school had a bunch of work shops. My class did music and hip hop dance, and truthfully I liked the music better than the dance. Not that I didn't enjoy it I just like music better than dance.

Papier Mache

On Oct. 3 all of the grade 5's did papier mache (french) not just grade 5/6 O/O but the other grade 5's too. Grade 6's were biking. After the first recess we started setting things out and getting things ready. We spent a few hours on making it so what happened was, the papier mache dried on our skin and made our skin look wrinkly.

On Wednesday Oct. 8 we panted them. I could not ,for the life of me, figure out what to paint mine as so I took the yellow, blue, red, and black and made a smiley face.

Skeletons

September 29 class 5/6 O/O started making milk carton skeletons. We started by collecting 6 milk jugs each. We made a bunch of bones like the normal bones, like the skull, hips, ribs, arm bones, leg bones, and so on. On October 3 I finished.

Terry Fox Run

On Tuesday 23 2008 my school had our annual Terry Fox run. My friend and I got a ride in my teachers car so we got there early and we got an extra lap around the tracks. It was really fun and we got timmbits after.

Kayaking/Hiking

Friday 19 2008 grade 5 went kayaking and hiking. We had so much fun. I went hiking in the morning and so did a bunch of my friends. I got a few pictures but they didn't turn out. My favorite thing was kayaking. I got a blister and I got very tired but it was worth it!

Three Hopes

These are my hopes for this school year:

1. That we will have fun but still learn a lot.
2. That I will get good grades.
3. That grade 5/6 OO will go on fun field trips

Learning About GPS's

Today (September 9) Mr. Shareski came and taught us (grade 5/6 O/O) about the GPS. The first thing he taught us was what GPS stands for. It stands for Global Positioning System. After we went outside and learnt and saw how it works. Personally I think it is super cool, but that is only one woman's opinion.

Art Gallery

On Wednesday, September 3, 2008 class 5/6 O/O went to the library art gallery and saw the Dorthy Knowles Art Exibit. We saw a bunch of Beautiful art in the gallery. After we went and made primary and secondary colours and painted a picture. We got a bunch of pictures of us painting our pictures. It was verry fun. We got to do a lot of activities and we got to look at beautiful water colour, oil, chorcole, and acrilic painted pictures so it was my cup of tea!

My Animals.

I have a Bernese-Mountain dog cross Malamute he is huge. He looks aggressive but he is such a suck. His name is Reno. I have two identical cats, the way we tell them apart is one is fat and one is skinny. The skinny one is Sammy and the fat one is Finagane. I also have a small Maltese her name is Jorja. She is old and grouchy.

Class 5/6 Olson/Olney BBQ

On August 26th my class had a BBQ. It was great we got tons of pics. thanks to Nolan. When I looked at the pics. I laughed a lot. It was great.

My August long weekend.

This weekend my family and I are going to Arlington Beach witch is on Long Lake . When my brother, sister, and I get home we are going to start packing, my mom and my dad are going to have the trailer packed when we get home. We will hook on and go! The one thing that I really want to do is try to knee-board off the beach. My favorite water sport is tubing but I would like knee-boarding if I could get up in the water. I am going to try to have as much fun as I can. when we got back...
My weekend was awesome. I didn't get to tube or knee-board but I got to fish. Usually I don't like fishing but this time I didn't mind it. We didn't catch any fish but it was fun. The next day we celebrated my moms birthday. My bobba and poppa came up and we watched my grandpa's Bill Cosby comedy movie. We have watched it a bunch of times and it is still funny.

My favorite movie/book of the summer.

My favorite movie of the summer was also my favorite book. It was "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" the movie was book two, three, and four all roled into one. In the summer I read book one, two, three, and part of four but book four isn't really for kids so I quit reading it. In one part of the movie it was so sad I almost started to cry. Even though it was sad it was the best movie I saw the summer of 2008.
